About Ahmed Mussa

Ahmed Mussa is the Head of Legal of our practice. He has been admitted to practice as a lawyer in Malawi

Ahmed specialises in Commercial Law [transactional and litigation], especially interested in legal aspects of the energy industry – oil and gas, extractives, independent power producers, and their regulatory environment.

Ahmed is a member of the Malawi Law Society and has applied for membership of the Commercial Bar Association of Malawi [COMMBAR].

Ahmed holds a Bachelor of Laws [LLB Honours] and a Remedial Certificate in Arts and Social Science both attained from the Islamic University in Uganda. He has been accepted into the University of Dundee to read for a Master of Laws [LLM] in Energy [Oil & Gas]. LLM in Energy Law and Policy.

Ahmed further holds a Certificate in Drafting Commercial Agreements presented by the Malawi Law Society, November, 2015, an Advanced Course Certificate in effective legal writing from the University of Cape Town [UCT] under the Professional Development Project in September, 2018 and a Certificate in Negotiations and Contracting in the Oil and Gas Sector from the International Law Institute, November 17-21, 2019 in Dubai, UAE.

Ahmed has been in our practice since 2013 and has vast experience in drafting Legal and Commercial documents and has drafted all of our in-house rules, procedures and policies.

Ahmed also doubled as a Company Secretary for Ritz Farms and Property Investments Limited and is a part time Law Lecturer at the Blantyre International University lecturing three courses namely: Company Law, Law of Evidence and Legal Drafting and Conveyance.
